👨‍👩‍👧Parent Responsibility Acknowledgement

1. Purpose

This Parent Responsibility Acknowledgement outlines the responsibilities of Parents and Guardians who create and manage Student accounts on the BettaLearn platform (“Platform”).

By creating or managing a Student profile, you acknowledge and agree to the responsibilities described below.

2. Parental Control of Student Accounts

You acknowledge that:

• Student accounts may only be created by a Parent or Guardian aged 18 or older.
• You retain full control over the Student account.
• You are responsible for all activity conducted via the Student profile.
• You may switch into the Student account and manage settings at any time.

You agree to actively supervise and monitor your child’s use of the Platform.

3. Online Supervision Responsibility

BettaLearn provides safety features; however:

• We do not provide constant monitoring of all interactions.
• We cannot guarantee prevention of all inappropriate conduct.
• We are not a substitute for parental supervision.

You acknowledge that you remain primarily responsible for supervising your child’s online activity.

4. Educational Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

• BettaLearn is a social networking and marketplace platform.
• BettaLearn is not an accredited educational institution.
• BettaLearn does not supervise or guarantee educational services.

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with homeschooling laws in your jurisdiction.

5. Educator Engagement

If you engage an Educator through the Platform, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for conducting due diligence.
• BettaLearn does not verify all qualifications unless explicitly stated.
• BettaLearn is not a party to agreements formed between you and an Educator.

All service arrangements are made independently.

7. Data & Privacy

You acknowledge that:

• Student information is collected and processed under our Privacy Policy.
• You may request access, correction, or deletion of Student data.

You provide consent for the collection and processing of your child’s information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

8. Acceptance of Risk

While BettaLearn implements safeguards, you acknowledge that:

• No online platform can guarantee absolute security.
• Interaction with other users carries inherent risk.

By allowing your child to use the Platform, you accept these risks.

9. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify BettaLearn Pty Ltd from claims arising from:

• Misuse of a Student account
• Failure to supervise
• Breach of Platform policies

Nothing excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Acknowledgement

By creating or managing a Student account, you confirm that:

• ✔ You are the legal Parent or Guardian.
• ✔ You are at least 18 years old.
• ✔ You understand and accept your responsibilities.
• ✔ You consent to your child’s participation on the Platform.
